◎简　　介

　　1972年，山东青岛某山村迎来了不同寻常的客人。来自北京的专员到此选拔具有舞蹈资质的孩子，11岁的少年李存信有幸当选。乘坐开往北京的列车，他来到中央五七艺术学校。经过七年的封闭式艰苦训练，他从一个最初并不喜欢芭蕾的后进生成长为优秀的舞者。在此期间，外面的世界风云变幻，身处象牙塔中的艺术工作者们也不难感觉那分毫的变化。1979年，休斯敦芭蕾舞团邀请李存信以交换生的身份前往美国。他踏足这块陌生的土地，内心深深感到旧有的信仰和资本主义物质精神文明的巨大碰撞。随着时间的流逝，李感受到自由、艺术和爱情的召唤，从而决定留在这片土地上……

　　本片荣获2009年圣保罗国际电影节最佳外语片奖。
